This temple placed at pejeng village in the main street of Tampak Siring tourism object. It is well known as there is big Nekara here has 186.5 cm high and diameter 160 cm. Bronze Nekara came from prehistory (pra-Hindu era) called also as Bulan Pejeng “. The people believe that the Moon fall down to the eart, so this temple was called Penataran Sasih temple as “sasih” means the moon. The most interesting that this nekara has a face, bug eyed , long ears, the ring made from “ uang kepeng” and triangular noose. “Bulan Pejeng was believed as ” Subang Kebo Iwa”. Other ancient statue also placed inside this temple.
