A small city has the most impresive ancient in Bali, placed also big temple and public bathing inside in.Before reach Batur lake transited the tourist here usually.It was well known especially as the first President RI, Soekarno built a palace closed to Tirta Empul Temple. Tampak Siring derived from Balinese word ,that tampak means palm and siring means aslant. Legendary, That named based on palm of Mayadenawa King who was clever and great powerful but arrogance. He deemed himself as the God and asked to worshiped. That's why " Betara Indra" was angry asked his soldier to destroy. But Mayadenawa ran to the forest step aslanted, out of detection purposed.It's pitty he detected. Luckily, he failed and by the last magical power , poisonous spring created caused many of Betara Indra soldiers to die.Seeing that his soldier died Bhatara Indra plunged his spear to the ground and from there gush forth holy water and used to help all of the soldier can be alive again.It was called Tirta Empul. This forest then called Tampak Siring as here his palm left .Some objects belonging well known abroad, it was the great President palace, but actually the district in 42.63 km larges also has other worldwide objects such as Gunung Kawi, Tirta Empul temple, and more ancient ruins till the southern part.
